- Exempt from customs fees on import and exportation of equipment, systems and components for renewable energy;
The law "On renewable energy sources", Article 12
Complex implementation of alternative and renewable energy is included in the national strategy for the development of the fuel and energy sector in the country, as one of the promising areas. The main regulator of relationships associated with the use of renewable energy acts was adopted in Kyrgyzstan in 2008, 'the Law on Renewable Energy Sources'. This law highlights alternative and renewable energy, allowing the country to actively develop this area of energy:
- Exempt from customs fees on import and exportation of equipment, systems and components for renewable energy;
The law "On renewable energy sources", Article 12
- For the period of project payback tariff for electricity generated using renewable energy sources, it is set by multiplying the maximum tariff for end users to the appropriate factor, defined by the ninth paragraph of this Article (Article 12, Chapter 3)
- Factors to the maximum rate for electricity for the end user for each type of renewable energy in the payback period are set in the following sizes:
for installations using water energy ratio is 2.1;
for installations using energy from the sun, the coefficient is equal to 6.0;
for plants using biomass, the coefficient is equal to 2.75;
for installations using wind energy, the coefficient is 2.5;
for installations using energy of the earth, the coefficient is equal to 3.35;
- After a period of recoupment of the project (no more than 8 years) tariffs for electricity generated using renewable energy, established by the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic for each station individually based on calculations that take into account justified costs for electricity production and the element of fair profit.
- All electricity companies must ensure non-discriminatory access to their networks of electricity producers using renewable energy to supply electricity generated by them in the network, subject to its compliance with established standards
- The national power grid and electricity distribution companies provide free transit of electricity from renewable energy producers to consumers
Law of the KR "On renewable energy sources", Article 12
- Energy companies do not fulfill the duties assigned by law, compensate the compensation of lost profits RES producers
The law "On renewable energy sources", Article 16
- All electricity generated using renewable energy sources, not consumed by the owner of the installation for its own needs and not realized to other consumers onn a contractual basis, should be acquired by the largest electricity distribution company in the administrative-territorial unit, which is located on the installation of the use of renewable energy, whether for networks of any power company connected to this unit for the use of renewable energy
The law "On renewable energy sources", Art. 12
In 2015, in accordance with the order of the Government of Kyrgyzstan with a single method of calculation has been approved tariffs for electricity supplied to stations that generate electricity using renewable energy sources
- Authorized state body on regulation of fuel and energy complex sets tariffs for electricity generated using renewable energy sources on the payback period for the use of renewable energy projects in accordance with the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On Renewable Energy Sources" and the present method.
